Corner crossing SCOTUS appeal

Pffft

Weak they didn’t cross the angled pin.

This is completely insane! Even if you do momentarily cross onto private at that messed up corner, by a step or two, the fact that you could be fined and prosecuted over it is absolutely f<n ridiculous.

The real issue at hand here is that law enforcement and judges would even entertain such silly "cases"...

i'd say it's the misplaced fear of all that which stopped them, not the reality.

so on one hand, great, if it keeps more people out then more for us that still go. but to buzz's point, it weakens our case and ability to normalize our legal right to access to be so timid and publish it.

For sure. But my point is more towards the fact that this story is out there because a rich absentee landowner and his crew harassed hunters and pushed the "law" to intervene and even went to court over such a silly thing. I think it's pretty sad that this corner crossing case even happened in the first place. Eshelman and his goons should've been laughed off the phone the moment they raised this "issue".

It isn't all bad as it obviously led to a ruling in favour of corner crossing in some states, but man, imagine the amount of wasted time, effort, money and overall national attention such a silly case got?!?!?!
