Sometimes things just go your way...we weren't planning on going hunting this weekend due to family picture day today. But I got off work extra early yesterday and decided we should make a run for it and drove the 3 hrs to get to our spot. Rain and wind greeted us for the first few hours we were there with no deer spotted. Around 500 we spotted a doe and fawn easing onto the neighboring private property. Since there has been no snow at all, the grass/weeds were pretty tall where we were. After the doe sighting it went back to nothing for a while when out of no where I notice this tall white rack sticking up about 50 yards out in front of us. He walked up to about 30 yards broadside when she lowered the boom. Another awesome /late night

In these parts we call that a 9...we call the shooter a 10....congrats on both.
