Finally got around giving a former member a crash course on salmon trolling. The one fish I wanted him to tangle with, my 7 year old ended up with rod in her hands and my dad had to finish the fight.

I was invited to go to AK for my buddy's 40th bday. One day of fishing out of Whittier. Some of the group on the boat caught lingcod as well, but they weren't in season to keep.

I was able to spend some time on one of my favorite brook trout streams, the fishing there never disappoints!

The local warm water fishery is infested with perch. The population has absolutely exploded, and the biologists are hoping people will take thousands of them to help balance things out.

I brought home 15 between 7-8” in about 20 minutes of effort, after spending most of the day chasing walleye from shore.

After last night’s dinner, I may single-handedly take thousands of them. Ten fillets with fries made a meal, and they fillet out QUICK. I’ll be buying a 4” fillet knife this week specifically for them.
