This was my 2nd trip out with BrittanyChuckarman and we had an great day fishing, one of my top two or three days fishing. We fished two spots, one spot mostly smallmouth and crappie. The second spot was stacked with fish from the sonar and we started immediately catching fish, crappie, smallmouth, brim, yellow perch, and one catfish on a crappie jig. Gary really knows this body of water and Ive fished it a dozen times and usually only catch 0-5 fish. Its a really large body of water (not as big as Ft Peck but big) so locating them is 99% of the battle. I dont think lures really mattered much. We caught 37 crappie, Gary caught five brim and yellow perch, 7 bass, and one 4 pound channel cat in 3-4 hours. We both lost a few
crappie and another catfish. Im super thankful for Gary taking me and my hound out, even though my coonhound ate our lunch in the first five minutes. Im going to plan a walleye trip for us this winter on the Columbia or Snake and Wiley the hound is staying at the house.
