Four species yesterday. Didn't take a pic of the grayling. Nice to be back in the high country again.
Dad had to bail our our Father's Day meetup in Wyoming but I made the most of it.

Just noticed I managed to not be smiling in any of the fish photos. Getting the camera to trigger must annoy me, because I was definitely happy.

Sharp lookin hound.
Had a decent trip to my favorite walleye/bass lake yesterday. The lake is almost full for the first time in several years, might not last long. Started out good with a LM bass and a 21" walleye in the first 20 minutes. Then got a bit slow, but I eventually found a walleye hot spot and caught about 10, unfortunately they were mostly small in 13-14" range. Went searching for bigger fish without much luck, did get one around 16", and kept a few of the 14"-ers. Bass bite was disappointing, there's usually a bunch of small bass to at least keep it interesting, but not this trip. Zero interest in topwater, which is typically good this time of year.
Finished visiting my wife who works in Alaska during the summer. I spent time with her when she wasn’t working. Still made some time for hiking and fishing. Managed to bring in some sockeyes on the fly rod. I don’t remember to take pictures often but have a few.

My wife wanted to get up at 4:30 this morning and troll around below the house. Getting towards the end of the run but she made the right call!

That is a dandy Naknek bow. The new bridge is kinda handy, the bears use to get on the old foot bridge. There is a deep slot about 400 yards above you on the lodge side, an outside corner, below the first big gravel bar. Good spot for big char.

Me too, every one of my trolling rods now is setup with those cold water series reels from my downrigger rods to wire dipsy rods to the huge reels with 10 color
