Sorry I hadn't been around but baseball, karate and numerous other things has kept me busy. My family and I have had the chance to get out and do some fun things so here is an update of some of the outings.

First off Kawika has been busy with baseball for a couple months now. I have coached him for the last three years so I guess I'm just as busy with it. We ended up taking third this year which is pretty good for a bunch of young boys that have never seen a moving pitch. 8 of my 11 kids were first year machine pitch players.

I was pretty proud dad when Kawika made the allstar team. It was a tryout this year so we didn't know what to expect but he did well and earned a spot on the team. I was later asked to help coach. So another 3 weeks of baseball for us.

We did make it to go fishing and hunting in between baseball and karate.

One short weekend turkey hunt. Sarah and KJ hunted hard in the evenings with me but just couldn't take the cold mornings. I ended up shooting this turkey on the last morning. It was fun and we saw a lot of birds this year.

In the middle of the day we did try some steelhead fishing with no luck. It was just nice getting out.

Next trip was fishing at a local lake for some bass and bluegill. On the way in there are a bunch of lizards to keep Kawika occupied with.

KJ liked this fishing style. He could get high enough to see them in the brush.

Sarah kicked my butt on the big fish department.

We headed up yesterday and packed in some floattubes and a little rubber raft. It was a blast and we caught a ton of fish.

The little man caught his biggest largy to date. Caught on a tiny gitzit jig tipped with a nightcrawler.
