Well, about every two or three years, I go through my hunting room and take an inventory of the items I haven't used since the last inventory. Most of these dormant items end up getting sold.

Wife has an Ebay account, but they don't do guns, and I am tired of the fees and headaches of Ebay. Could try guntrader.com, but too frinckin' lazy.

So, Hunttalkers get first dibs. If you see something you are interested in, PM what you would be willing to pay, and it may be yours.

When Fin gets in the selling mode, wife complains that I sell too low, but someone usually gets a good deal.

I will list the price that I will sell to the first guy who replies, and if you offer something in that ballpark, I may take it anyway, unless someone else has offerred more.

Item Number 1:

Leica Trinovid 8x42 binoculars. These were my "go to" glass, until wife bought me a new pair of Leica 8x42 BRF Geovids last spring (good wife).

These have been used for five seasons. They do have some wear and tear. The right viewing lense does have a scratch in it. When you use them, that is a non-issue, as you focus right past it and it does not affect clarity.

Great glass. Anyone who has used Leica binos knows what a great glass they are. First $500, plus shipping gets them. If you are not satisfied, money back, no questions asked.

I guarantee you will not find a new pair of glass for $500 that are as good as these. And, after two seasons, a new pair will look as used as these are.

Item #4

Beretta Extrema 3.5" A391 Semi-Auto 12 Gauge in Realtee Advantage Wetlands. - SOLD!

This shotgun is four years old. It has fired less than two boxes of ammo. Shoots great and is an excellent semi-auto. Has since been replaced by the Extrema II. Comes with hard case, four chokes, and choke wrench.

Here is the link to the Beretta website. Very few changes between this gun and the Extrema II. I really do not want to sell it, but have two other Beretta semi-autos and find myself doing less and less goose hunting, so this is the logical thing to do.

http://www.berettausa.com/product/product_field_guns_main.htm

Not sure how to handle shipping without having an FFL, but probably can figure that out with as many friends I have who hold FFLs. First $700, plus shipping, gets it.

Item #5

Remington Model 700 CDL .300 RUM with Leopold VX-III 4.5x14 40mm scope. - SOLD!

I have never shot this rifle. I bought it from a guy who fell on hard times and knew I was a Remington 700 junkie. Was too good of a deal to pass up.

I have the exact rifle in a .300 Win Mag and it shoots so accurately, I have not found an excuse to play with this one.

Here is the link to the Remington site and the Cabela's site where the scope is listed.

http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/centerfire_rifles/model_700/model_700_CDL_specs.asp

http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/t...parentType=index&indexId=cat601566&hasJS=true

$529.99 and Cabela's will have the scope at your doorstep, not counting rings and bases.

Like I said, I have never fired this, but if it is like any of my other Remington's, it should be a shooter.

The first $800, plus shipping gets it. Good luck putting this rig together new for less than $1,200.

Item #6

Franchi 48 AL 20 Gauge Semi-Auto Ducks Unlimited Special. - SOLD!

Won this shotgun at a DU event about six years ago. Very lightweight 20 gauge. Being a DU special edition, it is chambered for 3", and original owner's manual recommended using 3", not 2 3/4". A lot of fun to shoot and very good for field work, as it is so light, you can carry it all day.

It has probably fired less than 100 rounds. Since I have a Beretta field gun, this one has been sitting in the safe for the last four years.

Here is the link to the Franchi site.

http://www.franchiusa.com/firearms/48al.tpl

The first $450, plus shipping gets it. Comes with hard case (Benelli case, as Franchi and Benelli are owned by same parent).

How much for the dropper buck?

Hell sreekers, I haven't really thought about it. PM if you are thinking of a number. It is a really cool buck. My unofficial scoring talents have it going slightly north of 200" NT. The cape is great, and it is a real good taxi job.

My taxi is coming to look at the stuff this week, as he gets a lot of requests for folks who want to "westernize" their trophy homes. Not sure what his thoughts will be, but he does good work and sells a lot of stuff to those "new comers."

I'm just wondering how you got the wife to buy you some Leica BRF's...any tips? ;)

That Franchi is a VERY good looking gun. If you hadn't caught my savings account with its pants down that be coming this way! Good luck on the 'cleaning'... :D

:D

Well Pointer, since she runs the household budget, I have been afraid to ask what she bought for herself as a compensating item. I mean let's face it, women never give something for nothing, do they?

Either that, or I caught her in a moment of weakness.

Do you take trades? I've got a sweet Caldwell Lead Sled, some sandbags and about 10 wall mount plaques for European mounts that I'm looking to get rid of. :D

Now that's funny. Only an attorney would try to sell/trade me my own merchandise. But, given my weak mental state, I might take you up on that.

Let me know a time when we can arrange this "trade."

Man, you are smarter than me! I'd have to ask. You know the whole cat, curiosity, death thing... ;)

Man that DU shotty is nice. Wish I wasn't in the process of moving, or preparing for another kid for that matter.

theres no way you still have those bino's! is there???
If so please send me an email and I will have my moms send you a check asap, as i am currently deployed in Iraq

Thx Sgt Smith Jeremy
