True. You gotta hand it to them. They have conviction. Doubling down on actions that are even unpopular with the base heading into the mid-terms... It's like they know the train tracks lead to a cliff but they just keep throwing in the coal. Astounding.
100% agree. I blame our current situation as much on the fringe dems as I do on the fringe maga crowd. In all honesty, our primary system is the problem. If we don't change that, nothing will ever improve.True.
And given what I see of Dems, their messaging, and their candidates, it seems like they are doubling down on their losing strategies of the past. To provide a counterbalance and push back, the opposing side must provide a viable alternative that has appeal to the electorate in that state. From what I’m seeing, and maybe I’m wrong, there will not be much penalty for the actions you’ve mentioned.
FIFY.100% agree. I blame our current situation as much on the fringe dems as I do on the fringe maga crowd. In all honesty, ourprimary systemtwo corporate parties that have turned politics into a for-profit venture is the problem. If we don't change that, nothing will ever improve.
always fixing things for people. you're so helpful.FIFY.
Our values are still there. Including the unfortunate values of hate, racism and the worship of idols and money. I'm afraid America is showing its true colors. And the wealthy white folks still have all the power and still don't like the idea of women, people of color or immigrants making any decisions. I never thought I'd say this but we're right back where we were in the 1970's. We're watching the last gasp of the WASP racists who love their power and money. The scary thing is they are spending billions training a whole new generation of WASP racists to carry on their hate. That said, I do see this as an organized response to the far left extremism that gained a lot of steam in the 2010's and IMHO just went too far. The pendulum has swung wildly back and then some. The rise of social media and the intentional loss of decorum (beginning with Lee Atwater and perfected by Newt and Rush) now has us in unchartered territory.Agreed. It’s very hard not to hold your head and cry at the seeming implosion of our values and institutions.. but I imagine 1968, and 1979, let alone 1859, all felt unmoored and unrecoverable at times. I think that’s why the BHA/PLWAA corner crossing lawsuit in MT feels so personal and redemptive right now; win or lose somebody is doing something.
