Ask your onX Hunt questions here!

At this time, there is not a +/- button to zoom on the screen.

Right now, you can zoom with the two finger pinch/pull apart method, or by quickly double tapping the screen and sliding your finger up and down to zoom in and out.

If your vehicle has a head unit that has Android Auto or Apple CarPlay capability, those units will have a +/- button to zoom.

I'll pass your request for a +/- button along to our engineering team and they may be able to build that feature in the future.
Thanks and yes, I think the +/- button would be a vital function. I'm using the Tab A9 in the vehicle as a GPS and while going down the road, it's not so easy to do the finger sweep plus every time it throws off the center map feature.

Dear OnX, another question/suggestion

It would be really nice if onX Hunt would work in Landscape Mode. When I purchased the App, I assumed it did. Again, using the Tab A9 as a vehicle gps and it would be more functional if the screen was in Landscape. I did read that onX Offroad works in landscape, so maybe not too hard to be able to have onX Hunt do same thing?

onX or anyone who knows: so, just made the leap from using the onX gps "chips" plus garmin basecamp.

I have 100's of waypoints saved and transferred them to the onX Hunt app. Transferred fine but all waypoints have same symbol and color. On basecamp, I had deer symbolized by a blue dot, Elk a red dot and Antelope a green dot. For example (elk), a red dog and named something like " E - South Ridge.

On the app, all of the waypoint symbols (like mentioned above) are the same generic onX waypoint. Without going to each and every waypoint and changing the symbol color, is there a way to somehow do a mass capture of say, my Elk waypoints and change them to a red dot?

Somehow break down each species category, backshade them and change the symbol? Again, trying not to have to scroll down and do each one seperately

This is currently being worked on. We do not have an ETA for you, but landscape mode is on its way.

At this time, we do not have the ability to bulk edit waypoints, but we will pass that request along to our engineering folks.

Thanks much, onX (and others who've chimed in). Just to reiterate, it would be great if onX Hunt app:

* worked in landscape (horizontal)
* had a +/- screen zoom key feature.
Sounds like your engineers will look at these additions. Like I said, am making the jump from Garmin GPS's with onX "chip" to using a Tablet w/onX Hunt "app" so sure to have some more questions later.

Thanks again

I see that, but when I select resume it adds a straight line track from my current location to my last location when the app closed. Not very helpful.

Closed means it isn't working. Do you think it's a good idea for an app to be closed/turned off, but it doesn't actually turn off?
You can always minimize the app and come back to it when done with whatever else you needed to do. Although, androids and onx have been known to have an issue with this; ie they stop tracking once focus is lost (app in background).

Minimized is what I meant, not actually closed. The app is still on in the background. I do have an android...

Is there a way to have your track continue when the app is closed?
Your track is supposed to continue as normal when you background the app, but location services on some Android devices can be finicky. Our suggestion is to send us an email or give us a call so that we can take a look at your specific device and see if there is a setting that might be causing this issue. Our email is [email protected] and our phone number is (406) 540-1600.

Thanks, I'll send an email.

When importing data such as kml’s and points. Why can we add multiples at once but when it comes time to remove them, you have to delete them one by one? Is there a way to select multiple points and delete them in one action?
