No Hoyts???

Just bought my first brand new bow today. After four years of shooting a used High Country Bow I upgraded to:

Hoyt Rampage
with true glo sights, ripcord rest, will continue shooting my Easton epics and muzzy broadheads. Haven't decided on a quiver yet.

Why is there no love for Hoyts?

Bowtech Captain

Not sure what I will be changing over to as far as arrow shafts and broad heads. I currently use Carbon Express arrows and Rage 2 blade broad heads, I have never seen anything devastate like they do, however they fall open all the time and its really annoying.

As far as no love for Hoyt, I think that is mainly due to pricing. I was looking at a new Hoyt Carbon Matrix as well as the Matthews Z7 extreme as a new bow before I got the PSE. The price difference of the Hoyt almost 300 more than the Matthews at some shops, and the quality and smoothness of the Z7 make it very hard to explain spending the extra money for the design features of the bow. It's all cosmetics with the Hoyt.

Elburg Archery, custom recurve 69#
Browning Nomad Stalker 55#
always have shot Port Orford cedar shafts, mainly 23/64" homebrew fletching.
Zwickey broadheads, period. Have shot a few deer with Elburg Grizzley's and Wolverines, but prefer the Zwickey's over everything else.
I have never owned a compound bow, but the wife shoots an old PSE target bow that we set up for hunting for her after her old Browning blew up after right at 20 years of good service. She is very deadly with the PSE. She shoots aluminum shaft and Zwickey's to good effect at 65#
