Any long range shooters?

Long range load development is a bit different, if you have not done it. And Friendship does not have any long range facility.

2000 rounds a year, eh?

Well good luck.
I shoot two NMLRA registered matches a year to 1,000yds. Shooting is completed at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.
So yes, I understand long range load development.
On a muzzy? Whats the flight time? Miami to seattle? 🤣
See above. Less than a second.

Man you guy's are serious! I hit a deer a 125 yards once and walked around like I was the new Davy Crockett for a week.
;) I'm not shoot'n grandpa's muzzleloader LOL

The chart data above is when shooting BH209 (Blackhorn 209)

My rifle is a total custom build and is also smokeless rated. I can easily send a 350gr bullet at 3,200fps.

Well I've met the local expert. Good grief. SMH
I may not be an expert, but I win my share of matches. Since you shoot at atterberry, you know all the same guys, I shoot with. I've seen a lot of atterberry scores, and I haven't seen anybody I don't know on top.

I have a Remington ultimate with the Arrowhead breach plug conversion, trigger tech trigger and a muzzle break; with Arrowheads 300 grain 45 caliber sabots it is no big trick to shoot groups under 6” at 500 yards when scoped. 110 grains by weight of BH209 is just short of 2400 fps. Also shoots 300 grain Thor bullets extremely well. Currently has a Williams peep sight in it and is very shootable at game out to 200 yards. My daughter killed a mule deer with it in Colorado season before last at 205 yards. To be honest, most of the setup and load development was was done from reading Encore’s posts in another forum, so Thanks!

I didn't shoot this past weekend at Atterbury, and from what I understand there were only 13 people shooting, 2 of them shooting modern inline rifles. Jeff and Chris. Only Chris and I would have been the only modern inline shooters originally, as the base now requires the "Real ID" to get on base. I saved myself around $600. Jeff hurried around and got at least his paper "Real ID", but I had already made plans for Friendship only. They let Jeff in with just the paper ID, but both Saturday and Sunday they stopped him for inspections.

Modern inline rifles started shooting at the June 11-12th 2022 long range matches, which was the inaugural. If you have the scores, I won the modern inline inaugural and since have two 2nds and 3rd. Jeff won this past weekend with 459/500 and I can't remember his X count. Chris came in IIRC 5 points less. Both Jeff and Chris were shooting 40cal. Jeff built my rifle.

This past weekend's scores.............

No one had ever shot to 1K with modern inline rifles, nor had anyone been able to practice. There's no place where I live to practice 1K.
I won the inaugural for modern inline.
We've learned a lot since that first match and scores have increased. The 40cal rifles are now ruling the modern inline.

...I'm snooping here but my 6" groups at 80 yards are keeping me hidden. You all are blowing my mind! Might need to snoop on yalls posts. Is there something going on in the muzzleloader world that is causing all higher end muzzleloaders out of stock?
Have a tc encore, been looking for a Remington uml or paramount

IIRC, there's a match at Camp Atterbury, I think I heard in October, that'll be to 1,200yds.
Not sure if I'll attend or not......

What the hell is with the price of BH209 these days? I mean there's gouging and then there's what you do after my eyes are already out.
I think its controlled distribution( maybe monopoly). Its not true Black powder by any means, they leave enough in to convince people its real. The nitrocellulose level is much higher for a more efficient product. The cost is cuz they can. Its that or the Firestick. Another controlled product(Triple8) that is not available in loose powder form. Both of these products are just edging closer to totally smokeless which then kind of makes a mockery of muzzle loading. Just my opinion of course. Maybe after 14 years the patent will run out and someone? will give a better product for less money but I wouldn't bet on it. Greed is a strong thing. If people keep buying it, why lower the price. Probably the same reason I don't apply in Wyoming.
