thanks elkhunter: was shot last year sept1. borrowed buddys crossbow because we can't hunt with rifles on sundays. baked a loaf of bread for him in the morning. because i had not shot any animal with a bow before i wanted the perfect shot. my plan was to set the loaf of bread on top of the barrel i was using to bait and when he reached for it i would get my shot. everything turned out in my favor. the bear was even a right handed bear(haha)he reached out just like i wanted and offerd the best shot you could ask for. the arrow went right through and the bear only went 40yrds. field dressed at 247lbs.
