I'd think if you're compairing to a standard 6.5CM it would burn a barrel out faster purly based on pushing it 300fps faster. But to Carls/Forkys point you're getting magnum (6.5 PRC) performance out of a standard cartridge so your powder efficiency seems like it is much better. So two 6.5 barrels, one magnum (PRC) vs standard (CM) you should theoretically get less powder erosion. Especially when considering the trend to cut barrels down to 18-20". I'd imagine it's easier on barrels/suppressors than equivalent length barrels in 6.5 PRC?
IDK, i'm very intrigued based on the versatility you could have in 1 gun with endless/cheap ammo options.
Anyone have real world experience? Im interest in velocities/barrel length/group size and bullet information.
130gr. Terminal Ascents leaving ~28-2900 out of an 18" barrel sounds pretty awesome
The 156 berger eliete hunters at 27-2800 out of a 20" barrel also sound great
I'm not a hand loader so I'm trying to understand why I would ever consider a 6.5 PRC over CM if this technology actually works.
