My wife wants to try the 230 bergers in her factory 26 " Lss Rum . It's getting late in the fall for load development but I'm going to try my best .
I have Nosler and Remington brass . Cci mag 250 priners . Retumbo , H-1000, Nv570, Rl33 for my powder choice .
Any starting load would be great !
PM is also a great option . I'm not new to Reloading .
Thanks in advance !!

I think I’d roll with retumbo. rl33 seems to have temp swings and h1000 never produced the velocity Retumbo did in the RUM for me. Unless you have a good supply of N570 I’d steer clear as it’s tough to find right now. Hodgden has 220 grain partition load data on their website. I’d just work up from there

I have the address . I just got back home from a 5000 mile trip. My Buddy is building a 375 Rum and has spent some time talking to them . I will stop over there before to long ! Thanks mtmuley ! Hope the Rl-26 is working for you !

I have two 338 Rums and almost no difference in the Edge . Both are great choices . The Edge just takes a few more steps to load .
If I was to start over again I would stick with the 338 Rum . Unless your trying to hit past 2000 yards .

My best results with precision, ES/SD, and velocity with the 230 in the RUM came with N570. It's 100 fps faster than H1000, 75 more than Retumbo, and 50 more than 8133. N570 really shines in the ES/SD area. I'd start at 88 grains and work up looking for precision around 90-92 grains

I load 89.5 gr of retumbo in my 300 RUM when using the 230 berger hybrids and WLRM primers using Norma Brass. Seated at 3.845 OAL running 3075 out of a 28" barrel.

Whats your guys on game performance with the 230 hybrid? I know the 215 is good out of a 300 win mag
