2025 gear game changer- wows!

Battery powered heated socks have made mornings much more enjoyable. I know theyve been around for a while but they greatly improved my level of comfort.
I had a pair of the heat insoles for several years loved them. Then 2 years ago i had a friend had a battery rupture in his. He got past 3rd degree burns and mine went in the trash. i am not sure if the socks are similar to the insoles. But his pictures were scary enough to make me switch to the hot feet packs. Not trying to scare you from your socks just a story i thought id share.

I’ve considered this one for a long time as my style is a lot of movement with intermittent glassing. I prefer to hike with uninsulated boots but that makes the glassing miserable. Saw there are some merino options. What kind did you end up getting?
I dont recall the name brand but I did get a wool blend sock. Picked them up from Scheels.

Also curious if any of these are actually good for lots of walking. I tried heated socks once and the wire was uncomfortable with some walking and it got incredibly hot just where the wire was while the rest of my foot was freezing after sitting a while. Open to the idea that others might be nice but the ones i tried sucked.

For late season hunts i just bring boot blankets if I'm going to be inactive for any notable amount of time. Bulky/heavy but thats the only way ive been able to keep feet warm.

You had them on right they are Sitka. The Kuiu ones have the opening in the front
OK thats funny. Full transparency my daughter worked for one of their distributors. We got it way cheap. Always had the local hardware store gear prior

For the birddogs out there...I upgraded this fall from a sportdog collar to dogtra 2700t&b. Very much worth it.

After buying increasingly comfy Thermarest pads and sleeping on the ground, I got the Mondo, 3-inch thick one and a cot for my Springbar tent. God I’m getting old.
I've had one for 3-4 years now. Inside a Montana Canvas bedroll with a Browning McKinley -30 and on a Byer Easy Cot.......if I am EVER cold or uncomfortable, I should NOT be where I am.
