2009 Rush triathlon.

Well, I beat my time from last year. I got 1:51 last year and 1:43:17 this year even with some Mid race Mishaps.

My wife wasn't able to come down but a Friend's wife did take a couple pictures.

She also took a video of me crossing the finish line. Although some serious Triath'letes might have thought me as a mockary of the Sport, I had fun all the way through the finish line

4th in my age group was a good deal. Problem was, they didn't officially put me in the classification with the other Clydesdales....

Time was 1Hr43min13sec. Out of of 223 people in the Sprint, I was #4 for my race number. Funny part was I was also 4th in my age class (35-39). I was 2nd in my weight division (Racers over 200#). There was 11 of us guys over 200# out of 223. I was 29th overall in all men competing. 39th over all counting women. And 14th place of all the men out of the water. Which was the top 7%.

Next year I'm gunna do some longer ones I think........

Uhhh I did that prior to the race too I think I was the Only one eating a BK Whopper for Breakfast when others were doing Grain, granola, and Power bar stuff.... Maybe that's why I didn't place better though

Hey moosie, since you are on a roll you should try the Leadville 100 mile race it is going on this weekend race starts at 10, 500 ft and goes over mesquito pass 12,500 ft !! 100 miles of fun!! Only draw back I don't think Leadville has a Burger King yet! As a bonus this year Leadville has lots of trail motivators this year... moutain lions will keep the pace moving on the race course especially at nite! So if you are bored and needed somthing to do between races...something to think about!!

Arffdog, Cameron Haynes asked me to help him out in a Leg of of 100 Miler. I had to decline fairly fast. Although I might do a SMALLLLLl part next year. I couldn't even pace that stud for a short way... Maybe if it was a 100 miles swim

Moosie, My boss is doing the the race, I think it would be too painful to even watch!! Unless someone was getting chased by some of the wildlife, then it could keep my attention! Just thought you would be interested since I saw the pics above! Good job on the race!

People have to realize it's about the SHOW, not always the finish. I bet people will remember the funny guy (Or dork) that danced across the finish line in the bright yellow shorts more then the guy that won.
