As some have mentioned make sure you have onx or a gps with a chip. There are a few tricky spots so be careful. If you even see a sliver of private that crosses the road do not cross it or you may end up with a trespassing citation.
There are plenty of goats and lots and lots of country to look over. The eastern (dry creek) and northern (beaver rim) will have the most concentration of hunters. There are roads everywhere and most hunters will never leave them. After the first few days don't be afraid to get out of the truck and peak into the big draws, climb a knob to glass, or walk to the harder to reach areas. I just drove through 68 today. There were antelope everywhere.

HI Everyone... Im jumping on this thread to see how the OP did on his hunt last year. I am thinking of applying for 68 this year. What is a realistic goal of trophy size on a 3 or 4 day hunt in 68?

Two nice campgrounds in Alcova, Jeffrey city has nothing, Rawlins & Casper are both kind of far to travel everyday. We deer hunted deer E in that area sevetal years back & camped on blm. The eastern border of 68 has a county road that you will be able to access 69 blm lands from.
Like was said, lots of nice lope bucks.

So it's been awhile, but I was hoping to revive this thread. I drew a 68-1 tag this year through the random draw. To be honest I was trying to build points, but hey now I get to hunt!
Any information folks would be willing to share about the unit would be greatly appreciated. I plan on a scouting trip in August, then come out a few days before season. Camp on BLM and i'm not afraid to walk to get away from folks.

Ride the unicorn that blessed you with such amazing fortune to any spot in the unit.
So I gather. Now its research and scouting time. Hopefully some generous folks have some intel to speed up the process.

The while place is loaded with pronghorn. Your most difficult task will be which one to shoot. I bet you last less than 1 day.
Still need the honey holes.

Very true. That's why I was planning on a separate scouting trip. Get some leg work done. I'm not even specifically looking for the antelope honey holes, that I have to find on my own. Even suggestions where a cool place to camp or fish would be welcome.
