No argument starting. They both were going for the ball, both focused on the ball. Not to start an argument but how was that NOT a red card, studs gown down the calf and achilles and bend the ankle 90 degrees, then step on it. It was not intentional, but intent has nothing to do with it
What a great soccer game. Those dont happen often in this horrible sport lolWow, just wow.
Try to win, or be happy to get to penalties?
That i can buy. I used to teach refs, assess refs and ref at a decently hight level. Cards, especially red, at this level are a game management tool. Sure some are 100% required like Violent conduct (occurs away from the ball) and denies obvious goal opportunity, but this one, while "red card worthy" when looked at as a single action, was not needed in the scope of managing the game. A yellow and public ass chewing probably would have been ok. So IMO it was justified, but not needed to manage that gameNo argument starting. They both were going for the ball, both focused on the ball.
Absolutely looked painful, but the player resumed play. If it wasn't clearly intentional, I feel like the terms of a red card are pretty extreme.
I’m a once in four year fan of the sport, but see more beauty in the game every cup. That game especially was a real stunner. That Argentina Cabo match was unbelievable! I was emotionally drained afterwards!
I feel sorry for people who don’t enjoy or understand sport n the thrill of competition.
My thing with soccer is as a kid growing up in rural Montana in the 70's and 80's football was the game. Then basketball and wrestling. I understand sport and competition. As a result, didn't play or watch soccer. Soccer just isn't my thing. mtmuleyThat Argentina Cabo match was unbelievable! I was emotionally drained afterwards!

Exciting game
Same thing here in South Texas…i was 5yo n we had went out to eat at Shakey’s Pizza, there was a “kids soccer awards party” going on n I told my parents I wanted to play….thats what got me into soccer….my uncles called it a p***y game….played w the same bunch of guys throughout elementary n middle school. I moved on to football middle n high school, passed on college football because I got back w that bunch of guys n started playing rugby; high school, college, Texas U21 Select, USMC. I love most all sports and what I can’t love I try to appreciate. My thing with soccer is as a kid growing up in rural Montana in the 70's and 80's football was the game.
