World Cup 2026 starting today

Not to start an argument but how was that NOT a red card, studs gown down the calf and achilles and bend the ankle 90 degrees, then step on it. It was not intentional, but intent has nothing to do with it
No argument starting. They both were going for the ball, both focused on the ball.
Absolutely looked painful, but the player resumed play. If it wasn't clearly intentional, I feel like the terms of a red card are pretty extreme.

kansasson and wife at “Kansas City” stadium tonight for Colombia v Ghana. He took my Ghana silk scarf and cheered them on, while she was pulling for the eventual winners.

Extremely muggy night, and now for a bus ride, tram ride and eventually a car trip to get home.

That i can buy. I used to teach refs, assess refs and ref at a decently hight level. Cards, especially red, at this level are a game management tool. Sure some are 100% required like Violent conduct (occurs away from the ball) and denies obvious goal opportunity, but this one, while "red card worthy" when looked at as a single action, was not needed in the scope of managing the game. A yellow and public ass chewing probably would have been ok. So IMO it was justified, but not needed to manage that game

VAR is way out of control in this WC. Offside I am ok with , thats black and white. Once a ref gets pulled to VAR screen on a foul the expectation of the players changes, that is not right

That Argentina Cabo match was unbelievable! I was emotionally drained afterwards!
I feel sorry for people who don’t enjoy or understand sport n the thrill of competition.
