This semester I'm TAing a class on natural resource management. In doing the readings for the class I read this article. It boils it down to why things in management never change and relates PERFECTLY to why things here never get resolved. I know I'm guilty of some the problems associated in this article and will try to correct them in the future. If more here would take the advice in this paper I think much more could be accomplished here that we could then work to get the powers that be to actually start making things better.

Don't concentrate so much on the issues of the examples, but instead look to how the problems could have been avoided.

Whoops! I wrote the post from a campus computer. I'll paraphrase later tonight or tomorrow.

It worked for me. But I haven't made it through all ten pages yet.
