...or perhaps you're excited for a week without Seeth posting?

Either way, it's about to begin. All packed and headed to bed. Tomorrow morning starts the 32 hour or so travel to SE Alaska.

On the agenda? Crabs, halibut, rockfish, steelhead, cutthroat, clams and hopefully if I'm lucky another bruiser SE AK Black Bear. Yes you read that right, I'm on the trigger and not the misses. She is holding the ammo though I guess as she says it's beast or bust. Who am I to argue with that. I got one of the few with a Kuiu Island draw tag this spring.

Hope you get crabs and she gives you a bullet. Ask @Dsnow9 how hard it is when someone else is holding your bullets

Got up this morning, took the last shower for a very long time and eating some bacon and eggs. Will get into the car shortly here for the long ride north to pick up two people and then over to Minneapolis for a flight out early this evening. My wife's step dad who joined us on our Kodiak elk hunt is coming along along with her cousin's fiancé.

Man I can't wait to get to AK next spring. Until then I'll just live vicariously through you. Good luck out there and stay safe!

What’s the time between waves ? 3-4 @ 16 seconds is doable.
The marine forecast stations up there don't seem to have periods on any of them but yes, the period is something that really matters. Regardless we won't be wide open it looks like thus adding a lot of travel time to it.

3-4 can be pretty nice on big bodies of water. Can't run her wide open, but it's fun nonetheless! Have a blast.

3-4 foot waves on sumner straight just about knocked the fillings out of my head last week.
We will be passing through west of there and expecting the same rough ride. Will be interesting but we will take it slow and steady. I wouldn't be attempting this if I didn't grow up on Lake Michigan under my uncle as a captain. Not gonna be my first rodeo in rough waves
