Here's the situation. It's the second to the last day of your Wyoming Gen season. You come over a ridge and see this bull feeding. Do you shoot or pass him up? No right or wrong answers here, just seeing what the rest of you would have done in my situation.

I have 1 tag on my wall and no meat in the fridge to show for it.
Earlier in the season he might get a free pass, second to last day he gets heartburn!

Opening day I shoot that bull without thinking twice, little lone the last couple days.

Uhhh....kaboom!

You're either hunting a darn good area or are completely nuts to think of letting that bull walk on the second to last day. Unless it is a l-o-n-g pack out. But I'd probably shoot first and worry about the pack out later.

+1 - Dead bull if I am in those shoes. Well, at least I am shooting. Dead bull or not, who knows, but I am shooting.

I take it that you used your camera instead of your gun?
3 ??'s
1. Would anybody care if I shot it from the pickup, I dont walk?
2. Is it early in the day or late? Early- not drunk, Later- Hammered
3. How close to the road??

squeeze....that's a better bull than I've ever killed...first or last day of the season.

If it was season I would have dropped all these dudes

Since I have an elk in the freezer already this year, I wanted one for the wall or nothing. So I passed on this guy. And that's exactly what I got, NOTHING. Tag soup doesn't taste very good.
