What are your 2026 Outdoor Plans

I pretty much live in the outdoors here.
In for NM elk and have a waterfowl option, turkey too. Might put in for deer.

Working on my riparian plant cage project this week since it's May weather. Making use of my good well for the critters.
Good time to get native grass seed down, western wheat grass. Narrowleaf cottonwood and aspen with mix of wild plum, serviceberry, chokecherry in the pen. Wild rose to move.
Instant spring.

71 and still kicking.

As can happen throughout the draw season; my plans have already changed :). I drew a good moose tag in AK that will eliminate my time frme to hunt antelope in UT, so that will get pushed to next year. I will have to be careful not to put anything in for the first 3 weeks in September due to the amount of time this particular hunt can take. Thank goodness for an understanding supervisor since this is a pretty busy time of year at work for me. This will be my second time with this tag and I feel pretty lucky as it could easily be a once in a lifetime tag with the odds of drawing it as a unguided NR!
Hopefully I can still squeeze my WY antelope hunt in, but depends on what they say at work.

I'll apply in ID for low odds DEA. Probably won't draw anything but that's okay, we will have our first baby in the house by fall and getting away will be harder.

Points in MT and WY. I'd like to apply and go hunting but it's not in the cards this year.

I will most likely be hunting deer in northern WI this year at a family deer camp. It'll be my first time hunting with my wife's family at their cabin. I'm really looking forward to being part of a deer camp, I haven't done that in a long time.
