Anybody going to the UPOM conference in August? I have to work so I'll miss it. They are hosting several presentations about sage grouse, bison, access, roads, and landswaps.

The BLM is even presenting a "how to exchange landlocked and poor access public lands" :W:

This group is gaining strength with support from Montana Stockgrowers and Montana Outfitters (their ringleader is an outfitter in Fergus County that has shutdown Mabee Road). This group will be a major opposing force to corner crossing and will continue to be trouble in closing roads and stream access.

UPOM has supported transferable tags, test & slaughter of elk and this cockamamie land grab that the MT GOP is so proud of.

Not a good group at all. They'd like nothing better than to have Montana look like Texas.
