As of this Friday I will be picking up my new truck so it is time to find a new home for Doug. As such I wanted to give Hunttalkers who have seen some of his travels first shot. I have been the third owner, first 2 were father and then son. Here is the tale of the tape for him.
1992 Dodge W150, single cab, long bed
5.2L V8
5 speed (first is granny), manual but shift on the fly tranfer case
Limited slip rear end
Dana44 front end
Interior is original and in good shape
Air conditioning works
bed liner
camper shell
square tube bumper with hitch receiver
class IV rear hitch
shop manual ( I did have the window sticker if I can still find it....if not I believe it was in one of the old posts)
does not use oil
Toyo Geolander tires with plenty of tread on original alloys
work since I have had it:
Water pump last summer, full new clutch pack last spring, tune up with plugs when I bought it, PCV valve and gasket last summer. Doug has never failed to start and gets around 16-18 mpg highway when not loaded heavy. I have driven him mostly as a hunting truck and for running house related errands and fire wood. Odometer quit right after I got him....show 130,000 miles and I would estimate I put about 7-8000 +- on in the 3+ years I have had him and he is EXCELLENT off road with plenty of clearance for chains.
The "old truck" issues
Passenger side power window is inop
windshield is cracked (was that way when I got it and in CO I was NOT going to drop $$ for a new one just to watch it crack instantly)
tail pipe BEHIND the Cat came off recently so he is a little "throaty"
Fuel gauge is inop
There is a bit of a coolant leak up top that I am going to get checked in the next week or so...
I would like to get $3,000 for him. If you are interested feel
