Thu/Friday Reminiscence Tunes into the weekend

Was I always a music snob? I was the singer in my first band while in high school. Essentially me and my buddy Darrin on his Gibson SG. We never got any gigs. We were doing this stuff and all the other bands were doing dance tunes like, "Louis Louis".

Louie Louie and Gloria were garage band staples....I prolly sang Louie Louie (Kingsmen) more than a thousand times unintelligibly.

I grew up on Patsy Cline and Jim Reeves. My dad blew a gasket when my brother played this on our home phonograph. 1960's built into the wall and mono speakers all through the house. Accused my brother of trying to brainwash me with that "rock and roll crap". Yup, the damage was done.

I was 5 years old in 1967. I had no idea what words about back doors and eating chicken meant! I'm not sure my brother did either. No wonder my dad was flipping out.

Reminiscing: My go-to listen when I was getting ready to go skateboarding with my friends. My Mom haaaated this song.
