For a best bang for the buck 1911 my new favorite is this Tisas 9mm. I’ve been shooting the hell out of it with zero malfunctions right out of the box. Very accurate and easy to shoot. $450 including the replacement grips. Cerakoted and pretty much weatherproof and it might be my dedicated mountain gun with hot 147 grain hard casts this fall.

i dont have many pistols, but have this 3.5in model, shoot it weekly with 200 gr hard cast at1100 fps, it always works, never has jammed, and getting competent with it, shooting rolling tires, and various drills, hope i dont need to use it in a bad bear deal though,,, View attachment 409997

I have one of these too, though in 45 acp.

Its very good. Better than a sr1911 i had and significantly better fit/finished than the phillipino guns.

My semi auto 10mms, bought used, and got a good deal on the DW. Both have been great -- DW is more accurate. SA has capacity advantage and optic cut, but not yet going that route.

I know it’s not traditional but I love a 1911 with a rail. Good looking DW.
