Thinking about getting a pellet grill

Right, so now put a pork butt on the grill and you need 4 bags for a 12 hour cook....or did you miss type something. I did a lot of research, almost bought one and then looked at the costs and what others were saying. Stayed with gas.

I missed this post. Where did you come up those pellet consumption numbers? I can’t recall ever having to refill my 20 lb hopper when doing a pork butt. Often times my pork butts go over 12 hours

I was replying to the other persons post on numbers. I did not come up with them.

Grilling is not always about the cost of fuel.

My son bought a used green egg. I’m jealous.
Fuel efficiency is one reason I switched to a Kamado. If you live in cold climates and do long slow cooks, highly insulated ceramic can make a real difference.

Holy cow! 4 bags? I have never needed to refill the hopper on my traeger when smoking a pork butt for 12 hours. 🐖
I also use the kirkland pellets because they are just as good as any other pellets at a very good price.
