Thinking about getting a pellet grill

I missed this post. Where did you come up those pellet consumption numbers? I can’t recall ever having to refill my 20 lb hopper when doing a pork butt. Often times my pork butts go over 12 hours
I was replying to the other persons post on numbers. I did not come up with them.

Right, so now put a pork butt on the grill and you need 4 bags for a 12 hour cook....or did you miss type something. I did a lot of research, almost bought one and then looked at the costs and what others were saying. Stayed with gas.
Holy cow! 4 bags? I have never needed to refill the hopper on my traeger when smoking a pork butt for 12 hours. 🐖
I also use the kirkland pellets because they are just as good as any other pellets at a very good price.

OK, another question for you. What kind of temperature range are you getting? For example, if you set it at 250, on average what are your highs and lows?

Do yourself a favor and get another thermometer if you dont havw one dave the one on the smokers kinda suck imo. Thermopro is a pretty good value ime.
I've got the unit I use in my stick-burner. Next time I'll stick it in there and compare.

Same. I’ve never refilled smoking a pork butt.

Bumping this one just to show off! 😉 I picked up a used Camp Chef pellet grill this morning. Brought it home and spent a little time cleaning it up. Plugged it in and it fired up and ran. Fairly decent shape, even the grates are good enough to use. Total investment was $0! I like free!

Yeah, but what is the warranty?? J/K Nice find. You will love it. Everything comes out so much more tender.
Going to park it next to the new one I have. Might just use it for the low temperature smoke setting. Or give it to my daughter. 🤷‍♂️
