Things You Might Not See

[Quick Draw]

I saw the coolest thing today. My mom, sister, and I were driving along 507 in Roy when I saw 2 bull elk in velvet on the side of the highway on Ft. Lewis.
I mean I know Washington has elk, but I never thought that I would see them down around here. I didn't get any pics but I still saw them. Just though I would share my sighting today with everyone.
Has anyone seen any elk around Roy??????

Remember Quick Draw when I came home from work a couple years ago and said that I saw that cow on the back side of McCord hump We just might have to see if we can put one of those in the freezer this year hump

Thats great to find that they have finally started to migrate or multiply in that area of the state, maybe one day, they will populate Wa. enough that they will become a little more of an every day occurance... Way to go Erin...

It was really cool to see elk in Roy. I called Tim soon after I saw them and he if the area was open for elk, which I told him I think so. Since it is Ft. Lewis I would have to check, and if it is then I think I will be buying an elk tag for this year or next.
