For all of my SAD afflicted friends, here is a stew to warm your soul as we celebrate the addition of daylight to our lives.

We commemorate the public land elk who gave her life, at the hands of a 6.5 CM no less, for this dish.



Here is to longer days and a steelhead green (hopefully) river.

8 hours of daylight makes good stew weather. I need to shoot more whitetails, I forgot how tasty they are.

Looks yummy. Is the secret to drink the Guinness while you prep?

One of my most colossal failed experiments was IPA stew. Hoppy does not translate well. It is possible that it was a mistake to drink Imperial IPAs while doing a kitchen experiment.

Absolutely. The Guinness was excellent. I hadn’t had one in forever.

The only change I would make is cook the meat for a couple of hours and the out in the veggies. The got a little mushy.
