The Fishin’ Was Too Good

Maybe a silly point, you all are close to the pan handle in Idaho? If you fish go fish Lake Pend Oreille, there is no limit on walleye. Idaho fish and game will show the places where they are. Walleye are delicious and they are an invasive species there. The fish cops actually net em and will "pin" a tag on them that will pay a thousand dollars. Walleye are not supposed to be there and they are hurting the local fishery (kokanee, rainbows, trout.) Plus Sand Point, Bayview, etc are a beautiful place to visit. So maybe think about unlimited walleye, helping a fishery and a nice place to visit.

I do apollogize for "hi jacking" the thread. It was about walleye and someone getting fined. Thought it might be helpful for those who like walleye and hate finesa.

I had a similar experience years ago except I didn't find the extra fish for 2 weeks. It took 3 fishing trips never shutting off the live well to get rid of the smell

Back in my fisheries days we were doing a removal for walleye, electrofishing them at night during the spawn when they were in the shallows. We got 187 in a big 30-40 gallon deck live well. Draining that water/ fish spunk mixture the next day....still turns my stomach

You guys should go for some reel feesh, lololol, pun intended. Those two days we had four 8-10' bull sharks at the stern. They will follow the boat for 5 miles!! We were fishing in 220' of water & the sharks snapped up my 45lb gag grouper with 70' to go to the surface. You've never fished until youve done it offshore. No brag, just fact. Ocean feesh will kick your ass. Was using 150lb braid and a 20-foot 150lb flouro leader.
