The "Mercedes Culture"

Cushman, that must have been your momma on that video, since I don't have a sister, and my wife is deceased, thank you!

Back on topic. Ever notice that NASCAR drivers don't seem to make the DUI reports, or the "making it rain" news, and most of them don't travel with their own entourage when they attend social events? And how about all of those football and baseball players who spend their spare time hunting and fishing? We never hear about them getting into the same type of trouble. Ever consider that when it comes to athletes, there is a certain predisposition to constantly engage in acts that make the arrest records, based on background and lifestyle? If so, then perhaps there is a direct correlation to that lifestyle and ethnicity; or is it just a lack of discipline and maturity in every single instance? I recognize that there have been many instances of athletes who are white getting into trouble, but then look at the individual. The white athletes who end up in trouble with the law, invariably have their own little entourage, and engage in activities that aren't always the smartest, so who are their role models and what societal influences lead them to act like they do?

And as the entire point of this whole thing was, why can't Costas get on his soapbox and condemn the other aspects of athletes and violence without joining the anti-gun crowd. He should address the culture of the athlete as it's own sub-culture rather than tying their actions to, and laying the blame for them, on guns. My question to all of you, is why not take as much offense at someone blaming our lifestyle for a criminal act and suicide, as you take at a simple statement of truth??????

Only two thing in this world I can not stand, people who are intolerant of other peoples cultures/race and the Dutch.

I can't stand the Dutch :D
