There's a big herd still living on the lower part of the Stockfarm out of Hamilton. Scruffy as well. mtmuley

Looks like there are some buns in the oven. Good sign considering the hard winter.

There's a couple herds that live near my house. Counted 14 branch bulls about a month ago. Lots of fat cows. Hope the mule deer weathered it as well as the elk. mtmuley

Cool pics. As a kid growing up in Yellowstone (Mammoth Hot Springs), I was always a little disturbed by how mangy and awful those cows and calves look in May. Then... like magic... four weeks go by and they look sleek and happy. Pretty amazing.
