Tryptophan overdose Thursday at our casa. Fried Turkey and smoked pork ribs with all the usual complimentary sides.

Son and I will start the day early looking for a buck.

Safe travels to those on the road.

Traveling. One day I'd like to host, but it won't happen if we want to see extended family.

Should be a fun one at my house I have my Dad and Stepmom in from Idaho, my Mom who is in town awaiting surgery at Stanford will be in a hospital bed next to the table(long story), my brother and family from Georgia, my Estonian aupair, a group of friends, some of their parents and kids. Last count I had was 18 people, political opinions that span the spectrum, and one vegetarian. I’m doing three birds, traditional baked, smoked and smoked wild turkey, cranberries two ways, potatoes two ways, green beans and mountain goat gravlax.

My son got to shoot a BB gun for the first time this weekend with his grandpa and he is anxious to teach his two friends that are coming over….see reference to political opinions that span the spectrum.

Just add alcohol it should be a blast. :)

I usually host a small group of MT orphans (friends without family nearby) with a fried turkey and standard traditional sides. This year I'm headed to North Dakota for some pheasant hunting with my recently acquired 1974 Charles Daly Over/Under 12ga.

Wishing everyone the Best and safest Thanksgiving! I am waiting on a client to Bless some plats I did this morning an I may be out of here for the week! John

I'm thinking movie script jr:)..I know your guests will definitely enjoy the eats.

Headed up to my son's for the day. His kids are scattered out to three colleges in three states so we don't often get them all together. My DIL always lays out a spread which borders on the sinful, and I'll no doubt be seeking forgiveness for my sins after getting up from her table.

Safe holiday for everyone, and keep in mind the reason for the season. With all our problems and uncertainties, it's still the best country in the world and for that we all need to be thankful.

My crew will be traveling to Virginia's elk country for the family festivities. Cheers to yall for a Happy Thanksgiving!

JR, you should consider a webcast.

Many aspects in life to be thankful. Happy holidays all. Happy Thanksgiving!

Best to you and your son, Ken. I really enjoy the morning walk in the hills with friends/family searching for that deer or elk usually towing the niece and / or nephew. Return and enjoy a nice day with others.

Ken, I like the smoked ribs idea. My wife is too hung up on traditional turkey, it's good, but I sure wouldn't mind switching out turkey for good ribs. Hope the deer cooperates with your plan.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
