Awesome view. Hope you aren't prone to sleep walking.I've camped in some pretty cool spots out of a tent, but this is probably the best so far out of the truck camper. About 15 yards from a challenging drop-off.

While in Missoula for sports, I did the thing my family perpetually mocks me for and walked through the cemetery, taking pictures and googling names.
Fort Missoula Cemetery
Ole Beck - immigrated from Sweden to Polson, Montana at 10 years of age. Died of diphtheria in France. Has a VFW post named after him.
Gerald Diettert - brother of Eldon Diettert, who at the age of 19 died in the fire at Mann Gulch. Gerald was really active in his community. Wrote a book on George Bird Grinnell, as well as another on the history of the Boy Scouts.
Stryder Stoutenburg - born the same year as myself, except in 2003 when he passed, I was a clueless POS doing nothing and he was serving his country. Died in a helicopter accident at Fort Drum. RIP.

I’m going to miss this when she grows up.
It goes to fast. On a trip now for my daughter’s 23rd Bday.

I grew up near a reservoir that was loaded with crappie. I took that for granted and miss being able to enjoy those fillets now.

I grew up next door to the cemetery, but haven't been through there in a long time.
When the War ended and my Granddad got home from Europe, he wanted to build a house. He went over and took enough boards from the internment barracks to build the house that I grew up in.

Cattle in the foreground, elk in the background and Little Mexico behind them. The fence line is a mile and a half out. Little Mexico is safe. ICE will never catch them here!
