Sunday Pic of the Day

My daughter’s high school volleyball season started last week. Although I have flight reservations for an archery elk hunt towards the end of September, I would miss nine matches to do the hunt (I didn’t realize there would be that many when I booked the flight). The choice is pretty easy though so it looks like I am going to be a volleyball dad this fall.

My eight year old daughter is “watching” (I’m helping) a lady’s farm for a week and taking care of all of her animals.

Last night after leaving the farm, while driving through the back roads, and while watching a sunset she quietly said to herself “I love living here.”

It made me feel all warm inside because for the first time in life I’m allowing myself to feel like I have a “home” and we picked the right place to grow “roots”.
