Reminds me of a story a coworker told me once about when him and his brother were kids and they would call their mom collect from a pay phone in town. Operator - You have a collect call from: “PICKUSUPATLOAFNJUG!”

I know someone who used to do something like that when he was in college to let his mom and dad know he made it out of the woods safely.

Thanks! We started doing that when the boys were just little glorified retrievers. Now they carry guns and my brother's oldest is bigger than me!

My daughter’s high school volleyball season started last week. Although I have flight reservations for an archery elk hunt towards the end of September, I would miss nine matches to do the hunt (I didn’t realize there would be that many when I booked the flight). The choice is pretty easy though so it looks like I am going to be a volleyball dad this fall.
