you cut it and thresh it for the seed? Who knew? I figured you harvested the seed directly in the field. What do you do with the grass?

Me too. My daughter is really into it now. She wants to start a “lizard zoo.” As long as there are no snakes, I’m cool with it.

We swath it and after 10 - 14 days depending on weather, it's dried and ready to combine. After harvest the grass is baled and sold as feed. Next year these will be onion fields.

After losing a sturgeon right at the boat a couple of years ago and getting skunked last year, my daughter hit the river with a vendetta this year.
