I feel bad, accidentally got this little guy weed eating. In 33 years I’ve never seen one of these up here. Lots of them a few hours south in Kansas and Missouri but never here.

Weekend was a bust for foxes. Lightning and rain in the evenings and no action in the morning. Started for home and thought it was still pretty fun couple days and not much processing to do when I got home.

As I was leaving the area, I saw this guy periscoping about 50 yards out. Unpacked the camera and hung out where I thought I last saw him. After a few minutes I saw him pop up about 20 yards where I thought he was supposed to be. He gave me quite a few decent shot opps.

If you click the pics a few times to zoom in, you can see tick in the ear. He had a few more on the neck.

Hard to take a good pic of a lever gun shooting match, but expect to see @Huntinghere next year at the Western Lever Gun Nationals.
