Good guy with a gun

[Bigjay73]

Is it just me, or does there seem to be more instances of "good guy with a gun" stories lately? Now this is nothing to celebrate, but I swear more shootings are being stopped by civilians than usual. May mean there's more shootings, IDK.

Maybe they're just being reported more and not ignored.

Very possible

I think it’s always been newsworthy no matter the political temperature at the time. It’s probably that CCW has been normalized here. Maintaining that CCW includes the requisite basic handling and marksmanship. So now there are a few million Everyman USA who can put rounds in a 18”x18” target at 7yds in every state. 30 years ago there might not have even been a means to legally possess where individuals lived.

Plenty of examples on active self protection on youtube. Nothing is more lethal than an off duty Brazil police officer.
