Last weekend of summer for the kids. Decided to close it out with a picnic and some fishing at the lake.

No mountain hunting for me this year, had a hernia surgery last month that th surgeon said was bigger than they originally thought along w some internal bleeding, so had to turn in my tags, but figured the tipi needed to be taken out for a stretch

Took my Dad through Rocky Mountain National Park to spend a night at the historic Grand Lake Lodge.

My Dad doesn’t hunt but it was fun showing him elk in the spotting scope!
