My youngest wanted to enter a loon photography contest, so I took him to a brook trout pond that the loons love. He got some good shots and caught two trout, to boot!

Seems like im seeing loons on every lake i have fished this year. More than usual.
Vivid memories from childhood of foggy New England lakes with loons calling.

We started up down in the valley, the last edge of tree line a little to her left is where the house is. 3000 feet where the house is 4800 where we were standing. A touch over 2 1/2 miles. Getting around pretty good for a couple old farts. No sheds, no turkeys and only a few morels.
