Love pasque flowers. One of my favorite spots to turkey hunt has a hillside that’s probably 90% pasque flowers right now. Hoping they’re still popping when I get there Thursday.

Pic is from a few days ago of my brother in law. The gun was his dad’s first one, an Ithaca .410.. it’s much older than either one of us, probably @ 50 yrs.
He’s killed a handful of turkeys with it now

I recognize that gun. Ithica m66 super single. My first real gun was that gun in 20 gauge. Got it when I was eleven and I’m 66 now.
Hunted deer with it for a couple years with pumpkin balls.of course I still have it.

My youngest wanted to enter a loon photography contest, so I took him to a brook trout pond that the loons love. He got some good shots and caught two trout, to boot!

Seems like im seeing loons on every lake i have fished this year. More than usual.
Vivid memories from childhood of foggy New England lakes with loons calling.
