The roads are horrendous driving to some of these work locations but man the views never disappoint once you arrive. Nevada is beautiful in its own desolate mad max movie kinda way.

A family member got married this weekend and the natives (resident four-nado) got restless at the rehearsal dinner. We took a walk and “snuck up” on some of the resident deer on the golf course. He was very proud that we could “sneak” that close.

Yes, beautiful when you first take them out of the water. Weird how they change color so fast once you catch them.

Was out and about today scouting
I saw 2 mule deer and 3 Whitetails from my little ridge I was on , a cool end to my day, I two whitetails actually cross the creek in front of me but it was only fast enough to get the last one crossing about 226 yds the mule deer was 87 yds . I actually hiked 3 different locations today did 6.6 miles my 2 stop I had a WT doe at 90 yds in a river bottom, I didn’t try to get her picture I slowly backed out and just took one from a little farther away I saw what I wanted to see and moved onto my third spot
2nd spot , There’s a WT in that crap feeding, in the right of the picture you could see a fence post in the glare, I was actually standing at that fence post looking down in there when I saw the WT doe feeding with the wind blowing the direction it was she couldn’t hear me or smell me and then right below me in the mud you could just see deer tracks everywhere
Was txting a friend on the way back to the truck and looked up to see I was 10yds at most from OL stinky , backed up and ranged him and took a pic at 15 yds , he kinda did a little charge and came at me , To which I yelled at him don’t you freaking do it or I’ll bust a cap in your ass , or something like that and then I hauled ass the other way around
Also had my 1st MT Porky encounter last Sunday

Yesterday afternoon was time for Sara's first Lake Como physical therapy session. One of the nicest fall days that I can ever recall. She had a blast!
