Had a successful Elk Season here in Colorado, shat a 5x5 bull, not as big as I'd like antler wise but with the temps being as high as they are, but by the observation of other hunters in my area, no mean feat. Now I am bummed out because I have to wait till next year to go hunting again. I try to fil the gap by hunting coyotes, but can't find a partner who has the same passion as me.

Any of you feel the same way after season ends?

That bull must have hurt. ;-)

It's just the beginning out here. Rabbits, jacks, pdogs, yotes, bobcats, and maybe a late cow tag or 2. Hunting during the day AND night.

Has to be postpartum depression....understandable.;)

Seriously, I know the feeling well. I told my son when we buckled the seat belts to head west this elk season to savor every second, that it'd be over in a blink...and it was.

Likewise for my antelope hunt with my nephew. A years planning and anticipation over so quickly. But there is still other hunting to do.

If this were all I had to be bummed about, I'd be a happy man...

Madman, I'm just waiting for the weather to change so the duck and goose hunting gets good. Good luck with the coyotes.
