We ventured up near Canadian border over the weekend to chase sturgeon. This fishery has been closed for 35 years and opened on August 1. It did not disappoint! We landed 17 fish and missed a ton. A few pics

Looks like a great time with some beautiful fish. Is the fishery all catch and release or is there a slot limit?

Super cool! Crazy how big those fish get. I've snagged a few while going for paddlefish in the Missouri, but nothing even close to that big.

You were snagging different species in the Missouri that don't reach those sizes. Sturgeon are so cool!

Thanks for sharing.
