Spring so far....hopefully more to follow...

Well springs almost over and time to move into summer but heres the body count so far...
first color phase bear i've seen in 12 years, six foot four

a seven foot grizz

six four black bear

a spendy screw up....everyone came out ok, only 100 yards off the runway so i just walked over and set up my camp!

husband and wife got these breedin' pair of blackies on day one, a 7'6" and 6'

Then on day three the husband took this 9'11", the largest grizzly i've ever gotten in 12 years of guiding. we coulda doubled on the sow that was with him, if his wife had been with us, but we didn't feel like gettin' greedy. it all worked out.

Those are awesome. Really like the color on the smaller griz. Some real tanks of bears.

Some real nice bears! How long was it before you got the plane up and out of there?

thanks guy, glad you enjoy the bear pics.
we had a chopper in and get the plane and it was gone before the second client was flown out to strip, so maybe 3 hours from dirt to airborne again i'd guess. don't remember to well the time frame.
the bear wasn't scary, i knew what was going on there, but riding back seat and falling outa the sky ain't cool...i was nervous when i got back in the next plane to fly home, more nervous than i thought i'd be.
