This thread is for people who appreciate ice in their lives. My life was changed over a decade ago when I first went ice fishing. An interesting fact about water is it’s the only compound in nature that is less dense as a solid than as a liquid. If that was not the case, most life on earth would not exist. I think we all owe ice a little gratitude and can share that here.

The continent-wide lack of ice in most beverages is one of the primary reasons I’d hesitate to move to Europe. Ice is indeed what makes America great.

As first day of class "ice-breaker" in a limnology class if I'm remembering correct; the professor asked every student to give one interesting fact about water.

I panicked when it was my turn and all I could say was "I think it's really interesting that drinking water makes us less thirsty"

I hate ice-breakers.

i used to love ICE (fishing) but since my fishing buddy self deported down to texas a few years ago, i don't get out much anymore. also, we have had no ICE on canyon ferry until about a week ago.

For several years I was the vice president of Michigan Darkhouse Angling Association and the sole social media content creator. I've loved spearing pike since I was a young teenager in the early 80s.
One legal stipulation is that pike may only be speared through the ICE. If do however HATE the SNOW.

Been out one day on the ice in Montana:

Probably hit the ice one last time this weekend. Almost a complete bust this year with the warm weather.
