Smokiest town in America

I didn’t think this year was that bad until late in the summer. Dry as a bone though.

This summer has been brutally dry and that’s saying something coming from Cheyenne. At least we had those afternoon storms part of the summer, nothing here. Wild!

actually the only study I found said Medford was the winner. I just call BS.

For consistent air quality it's likely the winner. The winter inversions can be nasty. We've been lucky there the last two years too.

Drawback of living in a small round valley. Some folks call it the donut. Some folks use a less nice word.

We burned 2 million acres in Oregon last summer. About 10% of that this summer and now we’ve had a little rain. Been a much better year given it started off scary dry.

We were well above 300 AQI for a few weeks in late August/early September. Fires all around, didn't matter which way the wind was blowing. Want the wind to push out the smoke, but then the wind stirs up the fires, double edged sword.
